Obtain paid work experience supporting elementary students with tutoring, outside play, & meaningful projects.
Throughout the school year, our Youth Workforce participants played a vital role in supporting various Twin Rivers events, contributing to the success of district-wide initiatives while developing their leadership and professional skills. Interns assisted with event setup and breakdown as well as activity facilitation at events such as Math Bowl (see photos), Chopped Challenge, Center Stage, and Family Fun Day.
Their presence not only provided valuable operational support but also represented the youth voice and leadership within our expanded learning programs. Interns demonstrated strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities while engaging with staff, families, and community partners. Their contributions were consistently noted and appreciated by both event organizers and attendees, showcasing the positive impact of youth participation in leadership settings.
Since the start of the Youth Workforce Program in 2023, we have served over 200 youth leaders in search of paid work experience opportunities!
